hipages Group Annual Report 2026 5
Dear shareholder,
FY26 was another important year in the
journey of hipages Group.
Throughout the year, the Board
worked closely with management to
oversee the execution of the Group’s
strategy, monitor performance against
our objectives and ensure robust
governance, risk management and
capital allocation to support future
growth and sustainable long-term
value creation.
Pleasingly, the Group delivered financial
results that were in line with the guidance
we provided at our first half results,
while continuing to invest in product
development, technology and future
growth initiatives.
Statutory NPAT of $15.0 million was
significantly up on FY25, benefiting from
$8.9 million of previously unrecognised
deferred tax assets primarily related to
historical tax losses and R&D tax credits.
Long-term shareholder
value creation
The Board is committed to disciplined
capital allocation, balancing organic
growth investment, technology and
product innovation and potential
inorganic growth opportunities with
shareholder returns.
During the year, management continued
to execute on the Group’s growth
strategy, strengthening the core
marketplace, adding new platform
capability and AI-powered functionality,
while also moving into a new attractive
adjacency to further expand our
addressable market via the acquisition
of a majority stake in VIZ Insurance.
The Board views this investment as a
significant strategic milestone for the
Group, demonstrating the strength
of the team’s execution capability
and the significant opportunity
presented by expanding into
complementary adjacencies.
The Group’s strong cash generation
gives us the flexibility to balance growth
investment and shareholder returns.
Our balance sheet further strengthened
during FY26, with cash and funds on
deposit increasing to $34.2 million.
During the year, we commenced an
on-market share buy-back of up to 10%
of the Company’s shares, reflecting
the Group’s strong financial position,
the Board’s confidence in the long-
term outlook and our commitment
to disciplined capital allocation.
Consistent with the Group’s capital
allocation priorities, no dividend
was declared.
Building a resilient business
Technology and product innovation,
artificial intelligence and cyber resilience
are critical pillars to support the long-
term growth of the business.
As technology evolves and customer
expectations change, we are focused on
investing to deliver new capabilities that
strengthen our competitive position while
protecting the trust our customers place
in us. We believe AI will continue to play
an important role in driving both growth
and productivity in the years ahead.
At the same time, cyber resilience and
data protection remain critical priorities.
We continue to invest in security,
privacy and governance capabilities
to ensure we maintain the confidence
of our customers and stakeholders as
technology and digital risks continue
to evolve.
Board renewal
In June, we announced that Nicholas
Gray, nominee director of major
shareholder News Corp Australia, would
step down from the Board following our
FY26 results, having been appointed to a
new senior executive role at News Corp
Australia.
Nicholas, who has been a director of
the Group since 2020 and has been a
member of the Group’s Remuneration
and Nominations Committee, has since
been succeeded by Sally Fielke, who
is a senior Corporate Affairs executive
and qualified lawyer, currently Group
Executive, Corporate Affairs at News
Corp Australia.

FY26: Another step in the evolution
of hipages Group
6 hipages Group Annual Report 2026
Sally brings a wealth of experience in
corporate affairs, legal and executive
leadership, gained across senior roles at
listed companies and in CEO roles across
a number of industry associations. She is
already proving to be a valuable addition
to our boardroom.
On behalf of my fellow directors and
the hipages team, I would like to thank
Nicholas for his significant contribution
over many years, including our journey
from a private to a listed company. As
one of Australia’s most experienced
media executives, Nicholas has brought
a wealth of knowledge and expertise and
we wish him well in his new role.
Well positioned in FY27
We enter FY27 with a clear strategy,
talented team and strong balance sheet
and cash generation that enables us to
invest for the future.
The opportunities ahead of us are
significant. The Board is focused on
working with Roby and our management
team to implement our growth
strategy to deliver long-term value
for shareholders.
On behalf of the Board, I would like to
thank the entire hipages team for their
contribution throughout FY26. Finally,
thank you to our shareholders for
your ongoing support and confidence
in hipages Group. I look forward to
speaking with many of you at our Annual
General Meeting in November.
Yours sincerely,

hipages Group Annual Report 2026 7
I am proud of the progress
we made in FY26 and of
the incredible efforts of
our team.
Throughout the year, we continued to
execute on our long-term vision to make
home improvement seamless while
helping tradies build stronger, more
successful businesses.
We achieved our financial objectives
set out at the half year, completing the
migration of Australian customers onto
new pricing plans and accelerating
our evolution towards a multi-product
platform serving trade businesses
and households across Australia and
New Zealand.
Our strategic roadmap remains focused
on growing the value we provide
to customers, increasing platform
engagement and creating a broader
ecosystem of products and services that
support the day-to-day operations of
trade businesses.
Delivering growth at scale
Total revenue grew by 9% to
$90.6 million, achieving our stated
guidance and reflecting the strength of
our recurring revenue model, which now
accounts for 98% of Group revenue.
Monthly Recurring Revenue (MRR)
grew 8% to $8.0 million, translating to
Annual Recurring Revenue (ARR) of
$95.6 million.
The Australian marketplace continued
to perform strongly, even in a softer
consumer environment, with high
connection rates and ongoing lead
pricing optimisation more than offsetting
lower connection volumes. Customer
migration to higher-value plans, customer
ascensions and increased platform
engagement continued to drive ARPU
growth in Australia and New Zealand.
The completion of the Australian
pricing plan migration, alongside the
launch of new platform capabilities,
job management features and AI-
enabled tools, helped further integrate
hipages into the daily workflows of our
customers. These initiatives simplify
many of the operational tasks involved in
running a trade business, from quoting
and scheduling through to customer
management and job execution.
This is helping position hipages as an
increasingly important partner to our
customers, extending our role beyond
lead generation and deeper into the daily
operation of their businesses.
Serviced businesses grew by 10% to
more than 60,000, reflecting underlying
business growth and the addition
of approximately 4,500 businesses
through the VIZ Insurance acquisition.
Subscription ARPU increased 9% to
$2,475 while the subscription base
remained robust at 36,400 businesses.
Operating leverage and disciplined cost
management continued to deliver strong
profitability outcomes. EBITDA increased
17% to $22.9 million with EBITDA margin
expanding to a record 25.3%. Free cash
flow increased by 66% to a record
$9.4 million, with every incremental dollar
of growth revenue generated translating
into 50 cents of free cash flow (refer to
Figure 1, page 11). This highlights the
operating leverage and significant cash
generation potential of the business as it
continues to scale.
Our balance sheet further strengthened,
closing with $34.2 million in cash
and funds on deposit. This provides
significant flexibility to continue
investing in growth initiatives and
strategic opportunities.

FY26: Building a multi-product platform
for tradies and households
Innovation will always be an
important enabler of our strategy.
8 hipages Group Annual Report 2026
Expanding the opportunity
hipages is the #1 marketplace
connecting households and tradies
across Australia and New Zealand.
More recently, we have expanded into
job management software, payments
and platform services.
FY26 marked the next stage of
our evolution, with the acquisition of a
majority stake in VIZ Insurance.
Insurance is a natural adjacency
for hipages. It is essential and highly
relevant to our customer base.
The VIZ acquisition both expands our
addressable market and strengthens
our ability to participate in a greater
share of customer spend.
The acquisition also reinforces our
broader strategy of building a multi-
product platform around the needs
of trade businesses. By leveraging
the trusted customer relationships
and distribution capabilities already
established through our marketplace,
we can efficiently expand into adjacent
categories that provide additional value
to customers while creating new growth
opportunities for the Group.
We see a much larger opportunity
than simply lead generation and
job management. Every additional
business we service creates the
opportunity to deliver more value-added
products, deepen engagement and
increase customer lifetime value. This
remains a key driver of our long-term
growth strategy.
hipages Group Annual Report 2026 9
Product innovation and AI
Innovation will always be an important
enabler of our strategy.
Throughout FY26, we launched a number
of important product enhancements,
helping tradies win more work, manage
jobs more efficiently and reduce
administration. New functionality
included Smart Quotes, Estimates,
Scheduling, Location Tracking, Booking
Requests, Review Management and
AI-assisted experiences for both tradies
and households.
We are increasingly embedding AI
throughout the platform. We view
AI not as a single initiative but as a
capability that can improve almost every
aspect of our ecosystem. From helping
households describe projects more
effectively, through to assisting tradies
with quoting, scheduling and customer
communications, AI has the potential
to significantly improve both customer
outcomes and productivity.
Our unique position at the centre
of millions of home improvement
interactions provides valuable data and
customer insights that can be leveraged
to build increasingly intelligent products
over time. We believe AI will become a
significant competitive advantage as
these capabilities continue to develop.
As our technology capabilities continue
to evolve, we have also maintained a
strong focus on platform reliability,
cybersecurity, data protection and the
responsible deployment of AI. Preserving
customer trust remains critical as we
scale our platform and introduce new
technology-driven experiences across
the ecosystem.
Focus on growth in FY27
Our progress achieved during FY26
positions us strongly for FY27.
We will continue investing in innovation,
AI integration, platform engagement and
expansion services while maintaining a
disciplined approach to cost management.
We see opportunities to grow across
both sides of the marketplace, deepen
customer engagement and further expand
our role in helping trade businesses
manage and grow their operations.
We enter FY27 with a clear strategic
roadmap, a growing product ecosystem
and increasing opportunities to expand
beyond our traditional marketplace
offering. Our focus remains on
disciplined execution, delivering value
for customers and building a scalable
platform capable of supporting long-term
sustainable growth.
Our FY27 targets reflect this confidence.
We are targeting revenue growth of 9% to
11%, EBITDA margin of 25% to 27% and
free cash flow of between $11 million and
$13 million.
Thank you to the entire hipages Group
team for their dedication, energy and
commitment to our customers. I would
also like to thank our Board for their
ongoing guidance and support.
Thanks also to our fellow shareholders
for your continued support as we build
the leading platform for trade businesses
and households across Australia and
New Zealand.

Marketplace Performance
FY26 saw the marketplace continue to perform exceptionally
well, demonstrating the resilience of our business model in an
uncertain macroeconomic environment. Job volumes were
down ~3%, and connections¹ declined 5% year-on-year to
2.6 million, reflecting the subdued consumer confidence and its
impact on discretionary spending.
Despite this, the marketplace continued to strive and exhibited
a high 84% job connection rate², supported by continued
improvements to our AI-driven job/business matching engine.
This demonstrates that households continue to receive quality
outcomes and that trade businesses remain highly engaged on
the platform.
Our yield strategy continued to deliver; ARPU grew 8% to $2,575
(refer to Figure 2). Twelve-month revenue retention held stable
at approximately 58% despite ongoing pricing and product
evolution, highlighting the strength of the value proposition
we deliver to home improvement businesses.
Key drivers fuelling ARPU growth include:
• Completion of the migration of Australian customers onto
new pricing plans in October 2025
• Continued optimisation of job lead pricing, coupled with our
AI-driven matching engine, driving increased credit usage,
ascensions and lead pack purchases
• Continued evolution of the customer mix towards higher-
value plans, with more than 20% of new customers ascending
to a higher price point within their first six months on
the platform
Continued yield growth and exceptional
household experience.
1. Connections occur when a tradie claims a job, triggering usage of their lead
credits included in their subscription.
2. Connection rate defined as # jobs with at least one business-household

Serviced businesses³ grew 11% to 54,300 (refer to Figure 3),
including approximately 4,500 businesses added through our
acquisition of a majority stake in VIZ Insurance. On a like-for-like
basis, excluding VIZ, serviced businesses grew 2% to 49,800,
with revenue per serviced business up almost 6% to $1,714.
Growing the total base of businesses we serve is what creates
the opportunity to sell value-added services outside the lead
generation subscription model — whether lead generation,
job management, insurance or other expansion services —
extending our growth opportunity well beyond the traditional
marketplace offering.
The Australian subscription base remained resilient, with 33,000
subscription businesses at the end of June 2026 following
the completion of the pricing plan migration. Looking ahead,
there is considerable opportunity to grow both the number of
businesses we serve and the value we deliver to each, as we
continue to enhance the trade business experience through
value-added services and an improved platform designed to
make hipages an essential business partner.
Brand Authority
We have achieved strong reach and brand awareness while
continuing to reduce our marketing spend as a percentage of
revenue. Highlights include:
• Evolution of our media model from a historical sponsorship
focus (The Block) to a diversified, ‘always-on’ model that is
more scalable and reaches new audiences
• Establishment of social media as a new growth channel
across Facebook, Instagram and YouTube, fuelling new
business registrations while boosting engagement
and followers
• Multichannel, always-on campaigns aimed at tradies across
radio, streaming platforms, TV and YouTube
• Complementary SEM/SEO investment maintained in line with
FY25 to help manage marketplace balance
• Strong brand awareness among trade businesses (73%) and
homeowners (68%)⁴
• Marketing spend reduced a further 1 percentage point to 24%
of revenue while navigating a challenging macro environment
and increased competition
Homeowners
We continue to enjoy strong brand health among homeowners.
Total awareness was maintained at a record 68% among
homeowners in the age bracket 30–65yo⁴.
hipages is the clear category leader for households. We are
ranked #1 for licensed tradies and experts, #1 for top-of-
mind awareness among websites and apps that connect
homeowners with tradies and home improvement experts,
and the #1 preferred way to connect with tradies and home
improvement experts⁴.
Homeowners continue to enjoy a great experience with
hipages, with the job connection rate remaining high at 84%.
During FY26 we launched a new AI-assistant for households,
further enhancing the job posting experience, and we will
continue to improve that experience in FY27 – making it easier
for households to post a job while giving trade businesses
a clearer and more detailed job description to work from.
Tradies
The brand remains strong among trade businesses despite
an increasingly competitive landscape. hipages continues
to lead the category, with total awareness reaching 73%,
up 5 percentage points on the prior year⁴.
hipages is ranked #1 as the way to grow your business, #1 for
top-of-mind awareness among websites and apps that help
tradies and experts find clients and more work, and #1 for
return on investment among digital lead generation platforms5
— reinforcing the value of the hipages service in helping tradies
grow their business.

been consolidated from May 2026, excluding businesses already counted

Business overview hipages New Zealand (Builderscrack)
Performance
FY26 saw the hipages New Zealand business deliver strong
results in its first full year operating under the subscription
model. Revenue grew 22% year-on-year to A$5.1 million, with
recurring revenue growing 41% to A$4.8 million and now
representing 94% of New Zealand revenue.
Marketplace activity also grew strongly. Jobs posted on the
platform increased 17% to 109,000 (refer to Figure 5), while
connections¹ rose 15% to 140,000.
Yield and customer quality
The full subscription model is delivering the outcomes we
expected. Subscription ARPU grew 26% year-on-year to
A$1,501, while revenue per serviced business increased 22%
to A$839 (refer to Figure 4), as we continued to optimise
marketplace lead pricing and customer journeys.
While customer numbers remained broadly stable — 6,100
serviced businesses² and 3,400 subscription businesses at the
end of June 2026 — the quality of those customers improved
significantly. Customers are more engaged with the platform,
and our 12-month revenue retention rate improved to 46%, up
from 37% in the prior year.
The total base of businesses we serve in New Zealand also
creates the opportunity to introduce products beyond the lead
generation subscription, as we are doing in Australia. Combined
with our ability to leverage learnings from the Australian
business, New Zealand remains well positioned for continued
profitable growth.
1. Connections occur when a tradie claims a job, triggering usage of their lead
credits included in their subscription.
2. Serviced businesses: the rolling number of unique trade businesses who

Product
Product investment in New Zealand focused on three areas.
We completed a significant uplift to the platform’s interface
and to the end-to-end journey from posting a job through to
connecting with a trade business, improving both look and
usability. We rebuilt the core marketplace engines: a new
matching algorithm now aligns lead distribution with the
connection model to drive higher connection rates. Additionally,
the token pricing engine moved to fixed pricing tiers with real-
time demand-based adjustments, giving customers a more
transparent and defensible pricing model. We also launched
Open Reviews, allowing households to rate trade businesses
for work performed outside the platform, establishing
Builderscrack as a reputation resource in its own right,
independent of lead generation.
Brand authority
Continued optimisation of our SEM and SEO investment drove
a 17% increase in jobs posted on the platform to 109,000 during
FY26 (refer to Figure 5), building on the marketing channel
expansion undertaken in the prior year. Builderscrack continues
to be the largest marketplace for tradies in New Zealand.

Group strategy
From marketplace to platform:
widening our value proposition and expanding
our Total Addressable Market.
From marketplace to platform
hipages began as a directory of trade businesses in Australia,
became a marketplace connecting households with trusted
trade professionals, and has since expanded across Australia
and New Zealand. FY26 was another important year in our
evolution from a marketplace into a multi-product platform
serving both trade businesses and households.
That evolution takes us beyond lead generation and into the
broader set of services trade businesses buy to run their
operations. We think about it as ‘business in a box’. It improves
retention, because each additional product a business uses
embeds hipages further into how it works day to day. And it
builds a proprietary data layer (job history, pricing, scheduling
and business information) that makes every part of the platform
work better for the customers on it.
The expansion services we are building and acquiring
each open a further pool of customer spend. These
opportunities are complementary to our existing business
and leverage the trusted position we have established within
the ecosystem. Each expansion broadens our addressable
market and increases our ability to capture a greater share
of customer spend.
There is also a significant untapped opportunity to monetise
the household side of the marketplace, where we are investing
in and exploring new products for these customers.
VIZ Insurance acquisition
Our acquisition of a majority stake in VIZ Insurance during FY26
is the latest illustration of our platform strategy in action. VIZ
is a digital-first insurance platform purpose-built for Australian
trade businesses, with specialised products for more than 85
trade occupations.
Insurance is a logical adjacency. It is a non-discretionary,
high-repeat product that trade businesses purchase every year
and that is deeply embedded in how they operate — which
makes it both a new revenue stream within our ecosystem
and a retention driver embedded in our customers’ day-to-day
operations. The acquisition added approximately 4,500 serviced
businesses with limited existing overlap with our customer
base, expanding our addressable market into a genuinely
new adjacency.
We acquired a 51% stake with a pathway to full ownership, while
maintaining financial flexibility. Cross-selling has commenced
through a referral program, with the cross-sell flow to be
embedded directly into the product; and VIZ will launch further
insurance products that will also be available to hipages
